The Samsung and Google are the top most brand names of the smartphone world. Both the companies have some stunning lads to show off their superiority over each other.
This season the Samsung has already launched its most anticipated model Galaxy S5 and is ready to launch another flagship model, namely Galaxy Note 4. Both Galaxy series phones are leaders of their respective class, which are midsized smartphones and phablet sized.
The Galaxy S5 is a true champion it its niche with amazing features and out of the class features. Though, the two things which were highly criticized were its plastic body and not having the 64-Bit architecture. Still the phone has managed to attract a large user base already before its launch on 11Th April.
The other phone, Galaxy Note 4 has also anticipated the market at the extreme level with its talked rumors. The alleged report of the Galaxy Note 4 leaks suggests us that the phablet will have the better specifications than Galaxy S5.
It could have the 4 GB RAM with superfast Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, 16 MP stunning camera and many more. According to the past legacy of Samsung the Galaxy Note 4 could face the market during the second half of the year, i.e. in August- September.
Now it’s interesting. The Google also launches its Nexus phones during the same time. Earlier the battle was not very intense, but the scenario has changed now. The companies don’t leave any chance to screw others and also don’t take chances against each other if the opposite product is a masterpiece.
The Samsung is the best company in the world in producing android smartphones without any doubt. It has gripped the market so tightly so that any company can’t even come near to it for a decade or so.
The Google however does produce good smartphones, but not as good as Samsung’s in terms of features and technology. The upcoming Nexus 6 does have a great set of specifications.
According to the rumors, the Nexus 6 will have the same processor as of Galaxy Note 4, but it won’t be hard for the Google to leave the Samsung behind.
This market dominance of the Samsung may force to change the release date of the Nexus 6. I guess it would be good too for the Google to delay the launch of Nexus 6 because the market selling strategy of the Samsung is far better than that of Google.
The predictions are very high that if Google will launch the Nexus 6 along side with Galaxy Note 4, then it’ll fall miserably. Though, anything can happen in the highly uncertain market of today, but the reports are suggesting us that Google has decided to avoid the risk and delay its launch.
The Samsung and Google are the most valuable brand of today’s world, but in the smartphone world the Samsung has edge not over only Google but over every other company. So it would be better for Google to avoid any risk against Samsung and delay the launch of Nexus 6.
Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is fast becoming a thing of the past. With each passing day, we are coming closer to the release of the Galaxy Note 3 successor. However, currently, Galaxy Note 3 is Samsung’s finest Smartphone in the market. Nevertheless, it is expected to surrender its number one Samsung brand in about a week’s time when Samsung launches the Galaxy S5. So far Samsung hasn’t released many details concerning the Galaxy Note 4 but if rumors are anything to go by, Samsung Note 4 will definitely be a success.
Waterproof and dustproof
Samsung seems like it has decided to go unique. It has decided to take and upgrade the unique features in other Smartphones. For instance, it is developing ISOCELL sensor like that of Nokia’s low light photography, finger print scanner and 64-bit processor from the iPhone 5S and what’s more? It is now working on Sony’s dustproof and waterproof technology.
Emerging news is that Samsung has called off an order of 5 million LDS antennas that were to be used in Galaxy Note 4 to make it waterproof. This was due to the fact that the rear-case in-built antennas are quite hard to be made waterproof. It has now emerged that Samsung has preferred the IMA technology as it can be made waterproof faster than LDS. It emerged that Samsung was unable to completely seal the joint between the rear-case attached antennas and the HDI (main board). However, this joint was perfectly sealed by IMA technology, thus the change.
Previously, Samsung used to release a premium waterproof Smartphones going by the name “Active” but it now emerges that as from Galaxy Note 4, all Samsung’s Smartphones will be waterproof.
It is also certain that the IMA technology is still under research, thus we cannot expect it in the Galaxy S5. But in this other Samsung Note 4, we can be sure to expect it.
Samsung Note series is well known for its stylus. This time round, it has emerged that the Galaxy Note 4 will come with an advanced S-Pen. This stylus has been confirmed to come with;
ü Action Memo
ü S Note
ü Screen Write
ü Pen Window
While these may seem like the newest discoveries, you will be surprised to read that Samsung has introduced a handwriting signature for unlocking the phone using the stylus. Moreover, you can even call using the stylus.
How will you unlock your phone using the stylus? It is easy. You first have to register your handwritten signature using the stylus. Once registered, you can unlock your phone using the handwritten signature right on the screen.
If you want to call using the stylus, you type the name of the person you want to call, say, “Call Mom”. The screen will unlock itself and call mom.
Galaxy Note 4 will definitely be the premium Smartphone the world is waiting for. These and more features will make the phone almost human-like thereby improving its functionality.
With the MWC 2014 Barcelona just around the corner to be held on 24th Feb. the rumors about the latest flagship have piled to an enormous amount. While some of these rumors may be true most of them are just a figment of imagination of what we wish the new phone to be. Let us revisit the confirmed camera features once.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 will have a 16-megapixel sensor in the back at and a 2.1 megapixel camera in the front. The back sensor will be able to shoot 4K UHD resolution video at 30fps and full 1080p HD at 60fps. Samsung is also rumored to add a dedicated camera button to the S5, but it will be different from the usual side button approach and will rather take the form of a sensor built into the bottom right of the S5 renouncing the old button. It has been suggested that to take a picture, all you’ll need to do is tap the side of the S5. To ensure that there are no accidental side touch moments, the sensor will be disabled when the phone is in portrait mode, easy mode or while recording a video. On the software front, Samsung will equip the S5 with a ton of new features apparently, including the ability to capture images with different resolutions. You’ll also be able to switch between different ISO levels from ISO100 to ISO800. The S5’s camera app itself will have a few cosmetic changes too, in order to match the flagship’s new overall TouchWiz UI theme.
The new camera modes are as follows:
3D Tour Shot: Create interactive virtual tours of your surroundings.
Focus Select: Make your subjects stand out against the background by adjusting the depth of field.
Dual Camera: You can take pictures and record videos using the front and rear cameras at the same time.
Aqua: Appropriate for taking pictures underwater.
Animated Photo: Create a picture containing moving objects by animating parts of the picture.
3D Panorama: Create a spherical panorama of your surroundings.
Golf: Take pictures of a golf swing. You can then play the pictures forwards or backwards.
Auto Portrait: Take self-portrait with the rear camera.
Continuous Shot: Take pictures continuously.
