HTC announced Desire 610 & Desire 816 in MWC-2014:

HTC has announced two new handsets in mid-range category-Desire 816 and Desire 610 at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

The Desire 610 sports a 4.7-inch qHD display powered with a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 processor paired with 1GB of RAM. It features 8GB of built-in storage that can be expanded via microSD card up to 64GB. The HTC Desire 610 features an 8-megapixel f/2.4 rear camera, and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing shooter, which can also capture 720p videos! Connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, GPS, NFC (optional), and 4G LTE connectivity. The device comes with HTC’s proprietary BoomSound functionality with stereo speakers, alongside a 2040mAh battery.

On the other hand, Desire 816 sport a 5.5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels resolution) display and is powered by a 1.6GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 SoC processor paired with 1.5GB of RAM. There’s 8GB of internal storage with microSD up to 128GB. Desire 816 sports a 13 megapixel rear camera and 5 megapixel camera on the front. The smartphone is backed-up by a 2600mAh battery, is just 7.99mm thick and weighs 165g. HTC Desire 816 will offer LTE and HSPA+ (up to 42Mbps) connectivity options.  The HTC Desire 816 will arrive in white, black, red, yellow and purple colour variants. Interestingly, the handset is the first HTC device to incorporate a Nano-SIM instead of a Micro-SIM card. There’s no word which version of Android these are running just yet, but we imagine HTC will want to launch with at least Jelly Bean on-board. Desire 610 will arrive in May while Desire 816 will be available by April.
