Samsung Galaxy S5 – Full Review and Comparison With Galaxy S4

What all passionate about Smartphones expected, happened on the first official day of MWC 2014. Samsung officially announced the Galaxy S5 Smartphone, which is a firm commitment to resume the market and leave competitors like LG and Sony back in contention for the lead segment.

The great advantage of the device is the powerful hardware that was presented by the manufacturer. With several improvements over the previous generation and seamless integration between Smartphone and smart watches, Galaxy S5 shows that Samsung spares no effort to please their customers.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 will be available in 150 countries – which should include Brazil – from April 11. The amount has not been confirmed, but early rumors suggest his arrival price from R $ 2,899 for the version with no contract carriers.

DESIGN – few changes compared to the S4

Samsung promises that this new Smartphone will offer more glamor to consumers. Nevertheless, no very obvious design changes Samsung Galaxy S5. If we compare with the previous generation of Smartphones from the same company, we realize that the traces remain and that goes for just about every detail.

A clear change is the presence of a new back cover, which abandons the previous traits and appears with stylized perforations. The body of the Smartphone is slightly longer than the present S4, and 14.2 cm high and 7.25 cm wide – it also is slightly thicker, with 0.81 cm – which is anincrease in weight of 15 grams.

As for colors, Samsung claims that besides the black and white options, the device can now be purchased in blue versions and “coppery gold.” A difficult to perceive detail is the “Home” button built into the Smartphone. In addition to performing the normal functions to which you were accustomed, he now follows in the footsteps of the iPhone 5S and features a fingerprint reader, ideal to ensure more safety in unlocking the device screen.

SCREEN – 5.1 inches and full HD resolution

It’s hard to look at the Gorilla Glass screen 3 5.1 inch Galaxy S5 and can not imagine what will the quality of images of the device. Knowing the quality of contrast S4 was criticized by some consumers –especiallyif compared to other competitors – Samsung invested heavily in new equipment and brought a model with Full HD resolution and density of 432 pixels per inch.

It is valid to say that this density is higher than that present in the main market handsets like the LG G2 (423) and the iPhone 5S (326) and Xperia Z2 (424), but is lower than the Galaxy S4, which featured 441 pixels per inch.

CPU AND MEMORY – more power to market

Internally the unit also has some interesting improvements. The most surprising is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor. The processor clock reaches 2.5 GHz, being very efficient in energy issues and promising tune with the battery of 2,800 mAh.

While many wait for 3 GB of RAM – something that would run counter to the hardware of Galaxy Note 3 -, Samsung Galaxy showed that the S5 will hit the market with 2 GB of memory and two options-volatile memory storage: 16 GB or 32 GB. That is to say that he still has support for microSD cards so the capacity is expanded.

CAMERA – high resolutions and 4K videos

Some of the major improvements of the new device from the previous generation are the integrated digital camera. With new, more powerful sensor – and taking advantage of the best speed of the processor – the images captured with the S5 Galaxy Smartphone can be really superior. There are maximum resolutions of 16 megapixels with HDR mode, and autofocus catches happen in 0.3 seconds.

There is also the arrival of the “Selective Focus” which allows new possibilities for capturing photographs. With this feature, images can be focused on a specific area, making the backgrounds are blurred in a more professional manner – even ensuring that consumers are able to simulate depth of field effects.

For video recording, the Galaxy S5 will also bring some interesting improvements. The unit ensures that the camera can be used to record video in HD resolution Ultra – who was also known as 4K.

BATTERY – power management software

One of the highlights of the presentation from Samsung at MWC 2014 is present in the Galaxy S5 battery. The manufacturer guarantees that it can be replaced easily, which can be a plus point for consumers who dislike more closed systems. Thanks to the new mode Ultra Power Saving Mode, the battery life – which has 2,800 mAh – Galaxy S5 can reach 21 hours of talk time and 16 days standby time.

Samsung says that with the advanced power saving modes, you can keep the machine running for 24 hours under 10% load available. Of course, this is not the use of the Internet or multimedia features, but can allow incoming connections without problems.

GOING BEYOND – connectivity and sensors bring new possibilities

With several hardware improvements, the Galaxy S5 also features virtually unlimited connectivity to consumers. The handset comes with chips on the market to integrate with 3G and 4G mobile networks and also has support for Bluetooth communications, NFC and WiFi

The new Smartphone Samsung Galaxy S5 will arrive on the market with digital player. Like the iPhone 5S, it features integrated to the “Home” button feature.

This sensor can also be integrated with a number of registered accounts on the device and will ensure that consumers can even pay bills through their digital – once PayPal accounts can be synchronized to the reader, for example.

It was also revealed that the Galaxy S5 has IP67 certification. This means that the Smartphone is water resistant and dust and can be immersed for 30 minutes in up to one meter deep.

download torrents-for-Android

Considering Android is one of the most popularly used operating system, torrents have made their way into it. The downloading of a torrent on an Android device is one of the easiest things to do. It is just a matter of a few simple steps:

–          Go to the Google Play Store and download aDownloader. There are many free options that are available, but this is the best to use and there is no download throttling.

–          The next step is to configure the location of the saved files. The user has to enter the path manually but it is not difficult to figure it out.

–          Then the user needs to open a browser and enter a download repository and then type the name of the desired torrent.

–          Skipping the first few results of the search and then examining the size, age, health and seeders is the next step of the process.

–          After finding the most attractive torrent, tap the torrent link. It is essential that the user does not press any other buttons in the process.

–          Then the downloaded file will appear on the notification from where the media can be obtained.

These are 6 simple ways to get the best torrents onto the Android device and enjoy all kinds of media on it. It eliminates the carrying of heavy laptops and other such things.

After rejecting the BitTorrent application for its app store, Apple has made it look shady for itself in the category of smart phones. But not many people know that there are ways to download torrents on to an Apple handset. All one needs to do is install VuzeBitTorrent Client and the iZureus extension.

After installing both of them, the user needs to go to ‘Tools > Plugins > Installation Wizard.’ Then he needs to select ‘By list from’ and scroll down to find ‘Azureus HTML WebUI.’ This is a plugin that the user needs to install. The last part of it is to open a browser on the phone, and enter in the address bar and the user can access the regular Azureus HTML interface. Then he needs to go to Vuze’s ‘Preferences > Plugins > HTML WEB UI’ and enter a password. Then he is good to go with all the torrents that he needs.

It is true that Apple is a little conservative when it comes to third party software and intervention in the app store, but for those users who are die hard Apple fans they can use this method to easily get their work done.

iPhone 6 – What is it going to be like?

Apple is going to be back with a back in the latter half of 2014 with its newest release, iPhone 6. This phone has generated gossip and rumours about itself that are unmatched and also make the fans wait for yet another Smartphone that will blow their minds away. It has been said that this edition of the iPhone is all set to sweep the land underneath the user’s feet as it is going to be a revision of every little thing that the iPhone has offered in the past, right from the design to the processor and what not.

It is anticipated that the iPhone 6 will feature a bigger screen than all of its previous phones. While they have 4 inch screens, this one might be 4.9. With the brewing competition from Samsung, Sony and HTC, Apple had to have a bigger screen to cope with the expectation that one has from a premium Smartphone. Other rumour has it that this handset is ridding itself off the good old iconic home button and replacing it with a Retina scanner. Also the touch unlock feature that they have excelled at will prevail in the new handset as well.

The display is allegedly going to be full HD that will promote better quality videos and photographs while enhancing the user experience. There were slight rumours of a flexible wrap-around display, but now sources have suggested that it is feature that will be saved for the next few editions. Although there were rumours that the iPhone 6 will feature an unbreakable display to solve the problem of many users who cannot use their phone without dropping it one in a way. It will be made of sapphire glass and will increase the strength of the phone.

What’s more? The company might produce three varieties of casing for the phone. Although the debate against it is that it is a very difficult task to make changes in the size of the cases. One of the most popular of these rumours is that it might have a liquid metal case as it is somewhat the USP of the device.

Coming to the operating system that the phone will run by default, it is said that the iOs 8 will be the new thing for it. Given the excitement and the buzz that was created by the iOs 7, and all the rumours of the different features of the 8, it will definitely take the user by surprise. The processor that will run the phone is the A8 quad-core chip that will be much faster, better and easier to use. The battery life and the speed of tasks will be increased to give the users a much better overall experience and also to have the edge over all competition.

It is also anticipated that the phone will have a 13 mega pixel sensor camera and will produce wonderful quality images for the user to enjoy. To add to it, the wireless charging feature is another boon to many who have been waiting for the handset.

We cannot confirm what will actually be present on the phone and what will get eliminated. The release will let the people know if all the rumours are going to turn to reality. But what can be told for sure is that the phone is going to be one of a kind and is bound to attract customers to the brand. Galaxy SV: Camera Unveiled

With the MWC 2014 Barcelona just around the corner to be held on 24th Feb. the rumors about the latest flagship have piled to an enormous amount. While some of these rumors may be true most of them are just a figment of imagination of what we wish the new phone to be. Let us revisit the confirmed camera features once.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 will have a 16-megapixel sensor in the back at and a 2.1 megapixel camera in the front. The back sensor will be able to shoot 4K UHD resolution video at 30fps and full 1080p HD at 60fps. Samsung is also rumored to add a dedicated camera button to the S5, but it will be different from the usual side button approach and will rather take the form of a sensor built into the bottom right of the S5 renouncing the old button. It has been suggested that to take a picture, all you’ll need to do is tap the side of the S5. To ensure that there are no accidental side touch moments, the sensor will be disabled when the phone is in portrait mode, easy mode or while recording a video. On the software front, Samsung will equip the S5 with a ton of new features apparently, including the ability to capture images with different resolutions. You’ll also be able to switch between different ISO levels from ISO100 to ISO800. 5 Best Smartphones That Support Wireless Charging

Is wireless charging the way of the future? It seems to be the best way forwards, even if it does mean Smartphones have to be a little bigger and heavier to compensate. The only trouble is that they done to find a way to make it more efficient, plus they need to find a way to keep the charging port switched on but so that it is not using any electricity until the phone is near it. Still, as future developments go it looks like the future.

5 Best Smartphones That Support Wireless Charging

1 – LG Spectrum 2 (Verizon Wireless)

This is the first of two LG phones on this list. It looks like LG are looking into the future the same way as HTC (they also have two phones on this list). The Spectrum 2 has not really has the reception it deserves. People have not really said anything too bad about it, but it just seems that too few people are talking about it when they really should be.

It comes at a very good price with the only downside being that ms people are complaining that the speakers are not as loud as other phones. Plus, it runs on the Android 4.0, which is hardly an old version but is still not the most up to date version. It is a very good phone and of course it features wireless charging so it is well worth the money if you decide to give it a go.

2 – HTC Windows Phone 8X (AT&T)

This is a 2012 phone that had a rather frosty reception, and that was only because when it was released there was a big fuss about camera quality going on and people focused too much on its camera and not on its other good features.

It uses an inductive charger so that you may charge up wirelessly. It is also a very sleek and thin phone that runs on Windows. It is underappreciated because phones seem to be ranked by statistics as oppose to on their own merits. That is why this phone has been left in the dark a little more than it should. Just because it processes slightly slower than the very fastest on the market somehow makes it an inferior model to some people. If you are looking for a good phone then try this one. There are even a few very well priced second hand ones too on the market if you are interested.

3 – HTC Droid DNA (Verizon Wireless)

It is a sexy name beloved by all the battered fans of Star Wars because it uses the word droid, though it is actually referring to the operating system. It uses the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system plus it has a decent 8-megapixel camera. Unlike a lot of wireless charge phones, this one has a very long battery life. HTC are not yet competing on a massive scale with the big hitters Samsung and Apple, but it is closing the gap (and rightfully so).

4 – Nokia Lumia 822 (Verizon Wireless)

It has expandable memory that stretches up to an impressive 64GB, and it has and 8-megapixel camera. It features wireless charging, which is great since the slighter later version goes back to charging the manual and usual way. It is a quality device that has the handy wireless charging function which is quite efficient and it has a decent amount of processing power so that it may handle most modern apps and games, and so that it will not go slow on you when you need it the most.

5 – LG Nexus 4 (T-Mobile)

This is the second LG phone on this list, and it is the very popular Nexus version. The Nexus 4 was released in 2012 and was a tremendous success. It was and is a very affordable phone that runs on the popular Android Jelly Bean operating system. It achieved great global sales and is still well respected to this day. Obviously, as you know by the article title–this phone has wireless charging.

The only complaint about this phone is that it is not 4G LTE ready, but the fact is that genuine 4G LTE (as the experts understand the term) is not actually as available in America as you may think. There are only a few spots in major cities where true and reliable 4G (i.e. broadband mobile Internet) is present. The phone is loaded with features and the price is now quite low compared to what it was, so if you can bag yourself a new one then you will not be disappointed.

NOKIA: Android or Windows

The will it? Won’t it? Question has been answered by Nokia as it has incorporated android as its operating system in its upcoming model Nokia X A110 or colloquially referred as Nokia’s Android.

The name of this model suggests that it will be different from the LUMIA series also providing a customer benefit of keeping the two OS’s separate. This model is speculated to hit the shelves sometime in Q2-Q3 with an android 4.4.2 a.k.a KitKat out of the box. The model is also speculated to have a processor of something around Adreno 203 with a dual core 1 GHz CPU although the exact specifications are still unknown. It will also have a 512MB RAM, 4GB of storage, a 5MP rear camera as well as a 1500mAh battery.

NOKIA Android or Windows

The presence of the secondary camera is still unsure but the option of expanding memory using memory card of up to 32GB is present. Very little knowledge pertaining to the screen is known but it is speculated that the screen will be around 4” with 245ppi pixel density. The phone is also speculated to have a Dual Sim variant. The probability of Nokia’s Android to have a forked version of the OS is high as it would allow better integration of Nokia apps with android. An article published by Wall Street Journal contributes to this fact and also claims that the phone will not have access to the regular Google Play store but would rather come with a number of Nokia and Microsoft developed apps. Some of these apps would include Nokia Here Maps, Mix Radio and Skype and also would feature other popular mobile apps like what’s app Facebook, Twitter and so on.

Yet another drawback confirmed is that this model will not come in 4G version and thus will lead something to be desired from the future Nokia Androids. Although the possibility that Nokia would unveil this giant in the upcoming MWC to be held in Barcelona on 24th Feb. is high still there is a chance that the mobile will be unboxed at a later date as it is not a flagship mobile and would also be priced in a lower bracket. Hopefully the Nokia Android meets the eager expectations that await its arrival.
